[Boatanchors] CAA modulation indicator question...

    An interesting site. It also mentions the airways beacon system. 
Some of these beacons were still in operation when we first came to Los 
Angeles about 1949. One on a building on Wilshire Bl and another on "Bee 
Rock" in Griffith part. There were probably others still working. I 
think the name Bee Rock comes from its resemblance to a bee hive. I've 
been up there many times and there is no slightest indication that there 
was ever anything there.
