They are rare enough - maybe so rare some OM in the St. Louis area gave 
up looking for one and built his own!    After buying a rare Stancor 10P 
transmitter from a seller at Winterfest a couple weeks ago,  I went back 
and got the homebrew vari-arm clone from him too!

I'll write something up about it when I have time to check it out.   It 
appears to be a faithful copy - to the extent of having the same 
transformerless power supply - but with a tag on the line cord "Use 
Isolation Transformer".

The builder used it on CW with the 10P - a nice homebrew "station 
console" that handled T/R switching, spotting, CW sidetone, etc was 
included.   For anyone interested, the story of the 10P restoration is
