[Boatanchors] My Hallicrafters SX-100

I put some new tubes in it today and blew out the dust.  It's been
sounding a bit weak.  Three of the tubes i replace were Hallicrafters
tubes from the 1940's,  a 6C4 dated 6 -46, a 6au6 with a date code of
61-49 and 6ba6 dated 6-43, no wonder.  Another one was a Multi-Products
type, i finally figured out it was a 6BA6, barely.  Had some sort of
wrapping around it.

Now what is bothering me is that there is a tube in mine that doesn't
appear on the schematic that i have.  It is a 6BY6 and Itwas plugged
into a socket to the left of 6BJ7 which is the Detector, ANL and AVC. .
Another one is the RF amp.  It shows on the layout as a 6CB6 but there
was a 6BA6 in the socket.

My manual is for the SX-100 MK 1.   Inside the cabinet on the left side
is a layout for an SX-96.  but it doesn't show this extra tube next to
the 6BJ7 either.  The front panel of the radio shows it as an SX-100.  I
wonder if thats where the difference might be.  Any suggestions?
