I second that sentiment.
A while back I was able to get a Viking II in the military Civilian
Defence version. Got it early in Pandemic... you should have seen me
haul it out of the guys basement with no help (he had bad
knees)...wearing dual filter mask and everything I could throw at my
face for protection. I chased this rig for
a bit.. the guy had offered it to me, then someone else since I wanted
to wait a bit for some Pandemic resolution (good luck on that), then the
second guy did not show up for it, so I grabbed it despite my Pandemic
aversion.
This had an EXTENSIVE military manual with it (of course using military
nomenclature with military parts naming schema...but one can reference
domestic manual for translation..).
In any event it also included hugely big schematics... but of course
over the years the time had taken its toll and the creases from the
folds were almost threatening their condition.
I took them to Staples to be scanned and printed.. they did OK on it
despite the creases/open folds and now have them in very large schematic
pages I can read and easily notate on (voltages, references). In fact
they goofed somehow and did 6 print-outs of the things.. so that is
great for me and whomever uses this rig after me. This would be a good
trick even for normal schematic probably... blow it up a size or so as
long as reasonable resolution is maintained.
I did not think about having them do it to a memory stick - maybe I will
take them to get the new ones scanned and send onto BAMA manuals
repository if that is an acceptable.
Manual itself would be a beast though........
Now I just have to get into the rig and suss it out.... delayed a bit
due to medical stuff and needing to avoid hernia post surgery (got one
anyway...).

I think I've mentioned this before and it seems to go in one
eye and
out the other: With these manuals, take them to FedEx Office, have
them scanned onto a USB memory stick, take the stick and upload the
file to a host like Google Documents and link to it from some webpage
like your QRZ.com page. Put the link out here and share it with
everyone. That's the way to handle a manual in the year 2023. It
takes a bit of time and a couple of bucks but it isn't like getting a
tooth pulled. This isn't 1975.
