While we're talking about BC-669 crystals:
If you have brown ones that are not active, do not throw them away. For some reason the brown ones have a lot of trouble with metal fatigue on the electrodes inside the crystal you'll often find one or both sides of them open. For some reason, this rarely happes to the black ones. If someone wants to fix them contact me I'll show you what I do. I have repaired dozens of them.
