[Boatanchors] Drake R4B Peculiar Problem

I just got an R4B to work on. It works well on all bands but has a peculiar problem. If I select 14 mhz and tune the preselector to the opposite side of the tuning range I receive WWV around the middle of the band (14.235). I spotted myself on 10.115 Mhz - CW with just a watt or so. The rig is actually in the 30 meter band.. It receives well on 10Mhz & the 30m band regardless what aux crystal is selected or in the "norm" position. The manual says to use 14 Mhz band to tune WWV using the 12.6 (10Mhz) crystal.ALSO I have a 12.6Mhz crystal for 10 Mhz in position 5 of the aux crystal bank that does not work. It could be a separate issue such as a bad crystal but not sure. I swapped the 12.6 Mhz crystal with another position and it didn't work.I have never ran into a problem like this in all my years as a ham. I would appreciate any input on this. BTW I posted this on the FACEBOOK Drake group as well.
