Pete....you got me interested so I just raised the 500lb Harbor Freight unit
I have and the table lifts 29 1/2" from a hardwood floor.
I have standard height EDSAL metal tables to support those
boatanchors....anything else would likely collapse!

I bought the 1000 pound lift Harbor Freight cart back several years ago and
quite happy with its performance. Typical sell price is $370.
Sometimes with discount coupons, you can get it for 10% to 20% off.
Maximum lift height is 34 1/2 inches.
The 500 pound version typically sells for around $250. Again, with coupons,
you might be able to get it cheaper. Maximum lift height is 27
1/2 inches. Another reason why I opted for the more expensive one. It had a
higher lift.
Most Harbor Freight stores generally have or get store stock and generally
one or both models may be on display for customers to touch and feel.
Both are similar in design and built quite well.
