For the moment I consider this project finished. The power supply runs
cool and steady. The frequency of the VF1 shows +/- 100hz/hour stability.
The keying is pleasant with no chirps or click.

So far I haven't worked anyone on the air, but it tunes just fine on 40 and
20. I have it installed with the DX-40 and Drake 2B. I think it is going
to be just fine.

NOw, let's see. What is my next project? Hmmmm

PS. The dimensions of the power supply are 5" x 5" x 5.5". It weighs 7 or
8 pounds and makes 265 volts and 6.3 volt DC regulated. The case is a cut
down case from an old Lambda power supply. I also used a couple of 880
uf./200V caps in series for the filter. I used the original octal connector
on the VF-1. The only mod to the VF-1 was to change the series dropping
resistor to the OA2 regulator to maintain 26 ma current at 150 volts. So
far, it looks to be very stable.
