[Boatanchors] DX-40/VF-1

I sold my VF-1 after I bought and built
the WRL VFO-755(?). The VF-1 was quite
stable, but the WRL was superb and much
more precise tuning and calibration. I used
it on a homebrew pair of 807s mod by a pair
of 1625s and would zero in on SSB QSOs and
after a short while some SSBer would let me
know that I had a lot of carrier! (GIGGLE!)

I had one of those when I was a novice in 1983. Used it for CW only with a
DX-60 and it was great.
How good is it for ssb? Does it drift alot, or fairly stable after warmup?
