Subject: [Boatanchors] W9DUT vhf tri-mode receiver

Greetings,
Unusual things find me and this has to top the list.
I have acquired what appears to be a manufactured receiver, possibly a prototype or a very low production unit.
It is labelled as a VHF TRI-MODE RECEIVER MODEL D101 and engraved designed by W9DUT.
I am looking for anyone who has any knowledge of this receiver. The builder is SK.
This radio is extremely well built and deserves restoration. See the pix for an idea of its quality. It's big, probably close to 50 lbs and has a built in scope.
Again any info will help me with this, thanks,

73,
Keith ve3gem
