Hi Karel, Eugene, et al,
I installed the Lankford version of the prod. det. in Eugene's 51J-4, and several others. Glad to hear you still have the rcvr, Eugene. It's not a hard job, but does require some "custom attn" as noted in my notes and Dallas' on the att. schematic. I know the skem won't go thru the reflector, but anyone who would like a cc, just ask.
The original info from Lankford was in Hollow State News edn 28, I've att. a cc of that also.
I did have some pix on my BA website, but a lot of that has disappeared thru the yrs due to various HD & server issues. I will look some more tonite to see if I can find them, IIRC there's a good one showing the front panel switch & cabling, plus some good closeups inside. If I'm successful, I'll cc them to anyone who asks, and maybe I can get them back on the web. (just found --- orig. article in HSN has those sketches, I think I had taken actual pix.)
There can be some AGC issues in many of this series rcvr, some component values have changed, and a cupla dipped mica caps have been found to be leaky, causing trouble. I know I have notes on that stuff in my archives, much from Harry Crespy (anyone remember him). I'll keep looking for the info.
