Mike, FYI the 1935 ARRL handbook has a transceiver for 56Mhz that uses #30 and #33 tubes.
Maybe a predecessor to the Lafayette?

Yes, it is clearly labeled "Lafayette Transceiver" on its front panel, but no model number is given.
