[Boatanchors] Want to Buy 3-gang Tuning Capacitor

Mike,
May not be what you are looking for but, I have some 3 section capacitors 335pf each section, with 4 27pf sections ganged with the 335s. Also has mica trimmers approx 10pf mounted with them. Has a gear reduction tuning with 1/4" (6mm) shaft about 1/2" long. Made to PC mount but, has holes in front and rear for 3mm screw mounting. New, don't know what they are for, probably some fairly high-end AM/FM tuner? Small, 3 1/2" long, 1 1/2 wide, 1 1/4 deep. (?) plus Postage....

Hi Rob,
Each section must have 450 pF maximum capacitance. It's for tuning a superhet receiver's antenna, RF and oscillator stages. 3/8 and 1/4 inches shaft diameter is typical for these capacitors and voltage rating is not important in this application. Since it's a homebrew, I'll make it fit.

Older large 1930s style preferred (Meissner No. 21-5142B would be perfect) but any other with 450 pF maximum capacitance and proper rotation may work. Hope someone has one in their junk box that they can part with for a reasonable price. Mike, W6MAB
