[Boatanchors] Interesting SP-600 JX-11

Keep in mind this is a modified receiver. The original JX-11
was produced in 1951 to replace the JX-7, it is a standard
frequency range version and there are no significant changes to
it. The date makes this a rather early model.
There is a list of versions in the SP-600 Anthology but I
don't have a URL for it.
Its impossible to tell what has been done to this receiver
beyond the bizarre paint job. It appears to have extra knobs on
it. If its home built it may be the only example.
The suffix may indicate only a run to fill a contract but in
some cases, such as the JX-17, it indicates a special model. The
17 was built for use in diversity rigs and is similar to the
special version modified by Northern Radio.
There were altogether something like 50,000 SP-600's built, I
think only the R-390 was made in larger quantities.
