Joe,

I have both RME-69 and RME-70 with the preselector combined. They also made a version with the VHF converter but I have never run across that version.

Subject: [Boatanchors] Odd RME-69

I saw an odd RME receiver at a hamfest yesterday, and I wonder if anyone has seen anything like it.
It appeared to be an RME-69 and DB-20 pre-selector combined in what looked like a factory-built cabinet. It looked like it originally had an electro-dynamic speaker. The speaker was, of course, missing, but the plug and cut-off speaker cord remained. There was one power cord to supply both units, and the unit was gray, although this appeared to be a later paint job.
I had never seen these two units in one cabinet. Is any familiar with this combination?
