Scott,

The 1951 ARRL Handbook has a circuit and design details for a 40 watt
'Single-Control Low-Power Transmitter'  Uses a 6AG7 and 807.  Utilizes
plug in coils for multi-band operation. One could sub a 6CL6 and 6146 for
a more 'modern' line up. They are very near same specs aa the 6AG7/807
tubes.

Also, in the 1971 Handbook is details for a 75-120 watt CW transmitter
using a 6GK6 and 6146.  It is band-switching 5 band unit.  Quite a bit
more complex design.

I have a lot of the parts needed for both if can help out.
