Look for an ARRL Handbook from the mid to late 1950s.
I built one around 1956 or so from there using a 6AG7
Pierce crystal oscillator and a pair of 807s for final amplifier.
I drove it with a very stable WRL 755 VFO.
I sold it (and a matching plate modulator using 1625s) at a
swapmeet in Brownfield, TX in 1966.

Subject: [Boatanchors] Seeking Transmitter Design Suggestions
Good Day, I'm starting to look around for a transmitter design to pair up
with my HBR-13 receiver. I'm thinking a minimum of 3 bands, 80 40 20
meters, crystal controlled with the option of an outboard VFO,
oscillator/buffer/driver, one or two 6146's. I've been looking at some
ARRL Handbooks and cruising the web looking at designs. Do you have any
suggestions? Thank you! 73 Scott WA9WFA
