Any speculation out there if that 25mA plate current in TUNE mode is 
typical?

So far 2 other owners of the amp say it seems to be normal. The manual does 
not mention it.
It happens with no RF input and with RF input with the amp in standby (bias 
blocked mode)....
and does not matter where the input band switch is set to.

I was thinking perhaps its the early phases of a mild parasitic? When in 
LINEAR mode (doubling the screen volts)
its gone.

I thought perhaps adjusting C2 to see if that makes the current go down is a 
good move?

Another odd thing was when in CW mode, I could never get a cw carrier output 
at all, but in TUNE or LINEAR I could.
