One thing is, I'd bet the front panel could be made to look like new.   
The wrinkle pattern and lettering is chemically etched and/or engraved 
into the steel so with care  it should be possible to strip/sand/etch 
away that nice layer of "patina" and then repaint and re-fill the 
lettering with white and red paint. That's the biggest problem I had, as 
it's hard to keep the fill out of the wrinkles.

Looks like a full frame-off restoration for sure!
