Hi Jeff,
I'd start by connecting the RF generator to one end and a scope to the
other. Sweep by hand looking for output. If it's a mechanical filter,
I'd be looking below 1 MHz. Once you've found the center freq., you can
sweep it to determine the band-pass shape. You'll need to sweep slowly.
