Well I believe I finally got the amp running.
Choke is no longer smoking, tubes glow a nice even red during long 
transmissions.
Can easily hit 1Kw plus more if need be.

After that 2+ yr journey bringing it back to life,  I got nostalgic and made 
a new group for the Johnson tube linears:

They made the desk KW, Thunderbolt, Courier and a Thunderbolt TN2 -
were there any other tube linears?
