[Boatanchors] Scope & signal generator available

I have a Tektronix 454 o'scope that quit working long ago. I suspect a
power supply failure. It has the nuvistor tubes in the front end. I
would like to stop moving it around and clear out the space it occupies.
It probably will be best for pickup in Michigan's northern lower
peninsula at Houghton Lake. Being it hasn't worked for 35 years it is
probably not worth the cost of shipping.

I also have a signal generator AN/URM-70 that I stopped using about 30
years ago. It was working 100 percent at that time but I switched to
programmable, synthesized solid state equipment. The signal generator
has been inside it's metal, military transit case since. After this much
time I would suggest the power supply caps might need replacement but I
don't know that it has electrolytic caps there. The most important
points - the bolometer assembly, attenuator, and meter all were intact
and working. The front panel connector had a "C" connector on it that I
replaced with a smaller and more available BNC connector. The AN/URM-70
and it's transfer case are much heavier than the Tektronix scope.
Shipment will be even worse than for the scope but this unit is worth
more - it works.

Make offers and pickup arrangements. I will wait a while and post to
other venues. If nobody wants the scope it will go to scrap. I will
decide whether to scrap or save the signal generator if nobody wants
that. Respond via email.

73,

Bill KU8H
