[Boatanchors] SR-400 xtal

Hi Walt,
I was able to save an SR-400 from being parted out. The seller said it
stopped working when he replaced the can electrolytic in the rig, so he was
selling it for parts. I bought it and the P.S.  for a great price. Turns out
he had disconnected the can but never installed a new one- so no B+. I
restuffed it with new caps and aside from a little  het oscillator
adjustment it  works great. Front panel is perfect and I had the cabinets
powder coated. I'll have some pix on my website soon. Wonderful rigs and  a
brilliant answer to the KWM-2.

Thanks a bunch. That xtal will complete one more refurbished SR-400. I
borrowed a xtal form another rig to work on this rig. I'll put them both on
line for a while and decide which one to pass on.
