Good Morning to All,
Well, it was bound to happen. I got the call from my HR
Department last night. They have shut the plant down. Two week ago, we
split the plant personal into two teams. The A team ( please no jokes,
heard them all) and the B team. Since week get paid on a two week
schedule, and the company want to be sure we could get full pay, they
decided to do the following. Each team would work a total of 72 hours for
the two weeks, but get paid for 80 hours. So one week you would work five
12 hours days, then the next week two 12 hours days. This was to
hopefully keep the risk of exposure to the staff down to a minimum. It
worked for the first week. But then one person tested positive for the
COVID-19 bug. So now the plant is closed down, till further notice. Now
that the weather maybe a bit warmer. I am going to get outside, do the
spring yard work. And if the weather turns wet again. Then it's of to the
shop / shack to do stuff there. Myself and my family are feeling fine.
Wife is a nurse at a long term care facility. No case of the bug reported
there yet. So everyone stay safe and well. A few weeks the hot weather
will be here and this will be behind us.
