There is not necessarily universal agreement on this point.  So don’t be too quick to pile on.

Researchers do have a better notion of where “patient zero” for COVID-19 was generally, but there is no convincing evidence it came from a lab or was created by monsters.  Flu naming by region is mostly a way to point a finger somewhere else.
