Best thing to do is join Kenwood-Hybrids.groups.io and ask.
Lots of knowledgeable guys there regarding all the KW hybrid rigs.

Subject: [Boatanchors] TS-830S
I'm repairing a TS-830S, and the last thing on the list is no Drive
indication on the meter in the ALC position of the meter switch. I've
measured plenty of drive signal on a 'scope, but nothing on the meter. I
know the meter works because I can see the HV. The 6146's are removed until
I fix the drive meter problem.
I'm assuming there's a circuit somewhere that samples the Drive signal and
rectifies it for the meter to read, but I can't find the circuit on the
schematic. Can someone tell me where to look for that circuit? I'm
guessing (and hoping) there's a blown diode that needs to be replaced - if
only I could find it.
Thanks - ed, k9ew
