[Boatanchors] Series or Parallel Resonant Crystal Oscillator?

Thank you to everyone for your insights into this question.
I think I'm going to try Quartzlabs for a few crystals.
The Canadian Marconi manual does not give any specifications for
the crystals (at least, not my abbreviated copy).
