Hi Jim,

The oscillator output frequency will be different: lower than the specified frequency if the loading capacitance is higher, higher than the specified frequency if the loading capacitance is lower.

Assuming Dave has a crystal cut for the frequency he needs, what is the affect of using a crystal with a parallel capacitance other then the oscillator was designed to use?
