I have a mic with a rubber coiled cord that is just starting to harden.  It 
needs something that will soften the rubber so it doesn’t start to crack 
which will effectively ruin it.  Replacing the cord would be difficult.

Anyone have any suggestions on a rubber preservative that might prevent 
this?
