[Boatanchors] GR 1606A Bridge

Question as to why the GR 1606 A bridge will not show a resistance null on a 125 foot long wire at 500 KHz when my MFJ 269 CM Bridge shows a Resistance Value of 118 - J 900 ? The GR Bridge will show a resistance null ok on 7 Mhz .  Is the reactance at 500 KHz too high to indicate the R-Value?  I tested the Bridge with a 50 ohm resistor and had a R- Null at 20 ohms,showing the cal is off but still indicates a null. Apperciate any info on this. Thanks,Al, W4TUK
