Morning, Mike!
"Chaos of the storage area."  I like that.  Let me give you a
description of "The Cave," which also explains why I don't usually
invite people over to see it (SHAME ).  A photo might get out and
I'd never live it down.

Imagine all the bits and pieces and parts in a big, 50-year accumulation
of flotsam and jetsam.  Put it all in one of those big cement-mixer
trucks.   Roll it in there for a few minutes, then back-up to the barn
and dump it all around, spread evenly. Then go in with a Bobcat and push
aside enough for a couple of tripping- I mean walking paths.  That's my
place.

Well, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration. Working/complete stations
are covered with old sheets and stacked about the maelstrom.  Unique and
rare pieces are stored in the house- a testament to my Darling's
patience.  If I'm still here next year and still able-bodied, I'm
throwing caution the wind and build a building where I can NEATLY
install all these working stations. Guys could actually come and visit
and play with the stuff.  I believe in Santa and The Tooth Fairy, too, LOL.

Please keep yourself well up there.  Stay away from the herd of idiots
packing Walmart and the grocery stores.  We do not go in public places
now unless it's a real emergency.   Anything we need can be delivered or
local-pickup.  Young Amber was last one of us who went into a Walmart
about 4 days ago and heard lots of people coughing.  She disinfected and
took a shower immediately when home.  We're projected to peak casualties
the end of May- behind most places because people won't take it
seriously and isolation orders/"Essential worker" designations are being
ignored and abused with little enforcement.  These eye-rolling "never
happen" clowns are going to be crying in a couple of weeks.

I still have to work, but 99% of my work with the railroad is "solo;"
don't have to be around anyone and they're not going to force me into an
office during business hours.  Go when few or none are around.  Have
spray disinfectant and alcohol, gloves, masks etc. at all times.  Also a
bottle of Listerine to rinse my hands (been killing bugs since the Civil
War).  With all the "alcohol showers" I probably smell like someone's
drunk uncle most of the time. :-D

Lord bless and keep you and Ms. M. safe,
Dave S.
