I can't see the Band Spread Capacitor, but the layout of the chassis and
that of the IF transformers along with their construction looks like a 183D.
Given the non standard cabinet, I wonder if it a 183MS(I think MS is the
right designation for Marine Service) that was rack mounted? If it is
missing the Broadcast band it is not the standard 183D.
The power transformer looks kind of like one off an HRO 50 or 60 or
something similar the 183D had the capacitor on the filament of the
rectifier which caused a lot of trouble and the early version of the radio
had a weak transformer as well.

There is in fact a band spread shaft with air variable sections.
They're just hard to see. Band spread caps are often small low value
caps with just a few stator/rotors. I can't remember if the power
supply transformer is stock or not. Looks bigger than I remember.
