Price Reduced on Howard Mills Restored Gold Dust Twins

For sale is a Howard Mills complete restoration Collins Gold Dust Twins station available as a package deal. It is available for pickup in Stuart, Florida.  It includes the 75A-4 Receiver and KWS-1 RF Head and Power Supply.  Both were restored by Howard Mills, W3HM, and are in excellent condition. Complete documentation will be provided.


Collins 74A-4 receiver late serial number, s/n 5570, with original Collins 6kHz AM, 3.1kHz SSB and 500Hz CW filters, 4:1 gear-set and knob, and copy of manual.  All restoration and modifications were performed by Howard Mills.

Collins KWS-1 transmitter, s/n 1556, with Power Supply, 4:1 gear-set and knob, original Collins cables, original air hose, and Collins relay.  The cable set is complete and labeled – easy to connect everything together.  All restoration and modifications were performed by Howard Mills.

The station has not been on-the-air for several years since moving to Stuart from Ft. Lauderdale and would need a careful start-up. It has been kept in an air conditioned, non-smoking environment. Comes with radio dust covers for both the receiver and RF deck.

$2,500 for the Gold Dust Twins.  PayPal (Friends and Family) or personal check from a ham is fine for payment.  Plus Shipping. (I suggest a moving company that will pick up, wrap in blankets and deliver safely).
