Those rivets that I can reach I give them a light buffing and solder on them 
to the chassis.  I learned to hate rivets a long time ago because I tend to 
keep equipment for several years, and everything I tried, would let the 
problem return eventually.

Hallicrafters used rivets to attach many tube sockets and terminal strips 
instead of screws, and Hallicrafters guru K9AXN described a good tip. 
Apply a small amount of De-Oxit to the rivet on the underside of the 
chassis, then using a flat screwdriver and hammer, give it a few taps. 
You won't see any movement but the impact will allow the De-Oxit to wick 
into the tiny gaps and do it's magic.    A good approach for any riveted or 
otherwise inaccessible connections.
