"Tube Testers and Classic Electronic Test Gear" is a book by Alan Douglas, a retired engineer. I have a copy of this book, and pages 3 through 13 are a general discussion about various types of tube tester circuits and how they work. Pages 23 through 99 then describe many specific, commercial tube testers. 166 color pages, $26.95
"Make Your Own Tube Testers and Electron Tube Equipment" is described as follows. "This new book by Gary Steinbaugh (AF8L), an ER contributor and a professional electronics engineer, is all about understanding tube testers and building them, and also contains many excellent projects such as power supplies and specialty oscilloscopes in one fun-to-use volume! There are 19 well-written chapters, 222 pages, with many illustrations in full color. $32.50
