I just replaced the stock SSB filter in a HW-100 with a Heath CW filter, 400hz, I found on 
ebay and boy it works real slick. Made a few QSOs on 40 CW this afternoon and rcvr and 
xmtr sections work just as with the old SSB filter. Now the rig is CW only, but who works 
SSB any way....hi. So I guess I now have a HW-100.5. The HW-101 can switch between 
filters. 

My HW-100.5 wish list: 
- Is there a mod to reduce the side tone volume? 
- Is there any relief for the sticky vfo tuning knob? Guess it is plastic rubbing 
on plastic that does that. I put some silicone grease on the internal 
areas, but no diff. Have seen mods using Jackson (?) drives but 
would rather not do that. 
- Any mod for some type of RIT, other than adding an external receiver? 
- Is there a mod that allows switching between filters, similar to the HW-101?
