Hi Bill - those large variable caps are no longer in junk boxes
my friend. They are now all in TREASURE BOXES, hi hi.
How have you been my friend? What are you building?

Subject: [Boatanchors] Transmitting Type Variable Caps Needed
These items seem to be getting in short supply....and pricey. I am looking for two 100mmf
(min. but a few mmf on the plus side would probably be ok) air variable caps for a low power
(spaced for 25w) pi-net. The ones shown in the article look like about the size of half of a two-
gang type of BC capacitor. It has about 15 rotor plates, with 1/4" shaft. I have looked at my
normal sources, AES. PTOP, Neb. Sales, Fair Radio, etc but nil. Did see one some where
that was about 18 bux each. Any one have a source or a junk box full of these type variables?
Thanks...73 de Bill K4JYS
