[Boatanchors] FS: Hallicrafters S-39/R80 Morale Receiver

I picked up a very nice S-39 at an estate sale about 6 months ago with the intention of restoring it and putting it to use in the shack. However, things change, my shack is now tiny and I do not have room to place any boatanchor gear.

This receiver is in extremely good condition for being over 60 years old. The telescoping antenna is complete, works with no bent sections. This is basically general coverage receiver (500kHz to 30MHz). The rig is set up for DC operation via ten 9V batteries. This would make a very nice, easy restoration project for a beginner or intermediate restorer.

Therefore, the S-39 is up for sale. Pictures provided on request (serious inquiries only, please). Check "Radios by Hallicrafters" by Dachis (pg 49) for specifics.
