[Boatanchors] Home-brew SSB transmitter Recommendations?

Greetings. I am nearing the completion of my Ted Crosby W6TC HBR-13 dual conversion superheterodyne receiver project and I’m just starting to look around for an SSB/CW transmitter to build for the next project. I was wondering if there are some folks on here who have built their own SSB transmitter and if they can recommend an established design. I’m thinking VFO, and multi band because I’d at least like to cover 80m, 40m, and 20m, other bands a bonus. Doesn’t need to be high power as I don’t really need high power. I think I can do all I need with maybe 2 6146’s.

On the HBR-13, I’m copying cw and SSB signals on 20m and 40m and I’m still doing some debugging and testing, and still learning. It seems stable up through 20m. This was my first radio project and I was in over my head but I’m learning a lot!

Thanks, 73, Scott WA9WFA
