[Boatanchors] Rejuvenating old hard rubber parts

I'd like to thank whoever it was who suggested soaking in silicone. 

Fiddling with an old RCA WA-44C audio generator, I found the rubber part that engages the tuning dial hard and shrunken to the point it didn't work. 

After a day in hardware store silicone spray lubricant, it's soft and apparently back to its original size.
