Hi all,
A quick reminder that next weekend April 20th is the Valve QRP Day, (you can stretch it into the Sunday if you want!) for those of us hankering after the good old days.
It's not a contest but an activity period and is on all the bands you have valve/tube equipment for operated at a maximum 5 watts output. Any mode can be used but we tend to use CW.
I will be operating as G5LOW again on Saturday morning and evening around 3560/3563, 5262 and 7030 Kc/s and don't forget to tune around as there may be stations calling you off frequency. It should be fun.
Please give sensible reports and try to pass some information to the operator at the other end. Reports please and any pictures of the equipment by the end of April please to g3vtt at aol.com, (in Word please), and I will try to include all of the contributions.
Any construction tips for obtaining parts or making the old style stuff will be gratefully received plus any restoration ideas.
Let's light up the filaments and hear what's out there.
