[Boatanchors] Need Navy "DU" Loop Antenna Docs

I had to make my own antenna cable, since I have never found one in the 
flesh except in museum aircraft.  It is not exactly trivial to make if 
you wish to get it close to original, but at least the drawing gives you 
some dimensions, and some changes can be accommodated without too much 
visual departure from the original.  I made some suggestions for 
materials and dimensions in the lower right hand quarter of the 
drawing.  The greatest fabrication issue is arguably the cast elbow.  I 
ended up using a standard AN 3062-8 conduit elbow (actually a Breeze 
product matching its dimensions) and machining off the hex flange on the 
DU-1 end of the casting, along with boring out the ID to fit all the 
adapter pieces.  The AN 6032-8 is a 1/2" conduit size and fits the 
standard cable sheaths that are around if you know where to look.  I 
used RG-8 coax inside the black vinyl sheathed flex conduit to eliminate 
the nonsense of those insulated spacers (held with Superla wax, it sez 
here) spaced at indeterminate distances along the solid wire in the 
center of the conduit in both the 36" and 85" variants of the cable.  
The 36" length is more than enough to connect to a RU receiver located 
alongside the DU-1 or 2.

I have no idea what possessed Bendix to make it so complicated.
