Hello Mike,

You do not need to find a meter with exactly 1mA FS and 100R at the same time.
Do you have a meter that does it's 1mA FS OK, but measures less than 100 ohms ?
If so, the solution is easy: only one series resistor needed.
On the other side, i.e. 1mA FS and MORE than 100R, there is no solution, except to find a meter which have a Full Scale deflection at less than 100mV.
Say, if you find a 200µA movement with FS at 80mV (400R internal resistance), it will be useable by using a combination of shunt and series resistors.
