The R-388 has a higher opening in the back, with the extra louvers in the bottom it is probably for a transmitter. Good cabinet either way.

The depth is the factor that really defines the use. If it is 14-inches then definitely for the 32V- series or 75A-1. If 13-inches, then definitely not for the 32V- series or 75A-1, None of those will fit in the 13-inch cabinet, they are just too deep and the panel is almost 3/4ths of an inch out the front.

Most, but not all, of the 13-inch cabinets did not have the smaller opening nor the open areas in the bottom. The 13-inch cabinets were also used on the 51J- series receivers and the R-388- series receivers.

I dont think it’s an A-2, I have two of them and they don’t have the extra hole in the back or louvres in the bottom
