[Boatanchors] RE HRO-60

It may not help, but the E coilset for an HRO-50 will work just fine. Possibly, the E coilset for an HRO-7 would also work. SOME older coilsets will also work, but there is a danger to either the coilset contacts or the fingers in the radio if not done VERY carefully. No personal experience, but that is stated in several references.

Let eBay watch for what you want. Do a search for whatever you want, then save the search. eBay will email you whenever the item gets listed. That's how I got my AA, AB, AC, AD, E, F, G, H, and J coilsets.

Subject: [Boatanchors] RE HRO-60

G;morning all

Many thanks to those who responded with assistance on the band
change problem...... certainly no 'O' ring in my radio !.. In lieu of
a small 'O' ring I'm proposing to heat shrink a few layers of
tube over the spot.

I need the unobtainable 'E' box... failing that has there ever been
any attempt to modify a lower frequency box to cover that range.? I
realise the job appears formidable and time consuming. Coil details
would be the most important detail.
Info appreciated as is the assistance to date..... in meantime I'll
continue with rebuilding the xtal calibrator which a previous
owner modified to use only the 100khz xtal.. I assume the 1.000mHz
failed or found redundant I have both available.
Cheers
Pete.
