Dave and All,

The guy put it on Facebook about 2 months ago. He had no idea what it was. I commented and described what it was and also posted a photo of an original radio room, showing the RCA Radiomarine ET-8023 transmitter in the 4U console. Since then it's still up there in 2 FB groups.
I’d have given the owner an offer and picked it up, but unfortunately I have no room, no time to work on it, nor the experience for stripping it and giving it a new paint job that’ll look original.
I have the Mackay equivalent (167BY) of that transmitter, in the FT-102 console, with the E.H. Scott SLRF receiver, all in working and in fairly good cosmetic condition. Even the original key is still there in the cubbyhole under the receiver.
Hopefully someone will pick it up and restore that ET-8023. The owner certainly didn't advertise it in the right place.
