Gregg -- Isn't R57 for the Grid current? Personally, I wouldn't worry
about 5.1 ohms. A modern 5 ohm 5% resistor will probably be much more
accurate than a 5.1 ohm 5% resistor that came with the unit.
I didn't have to replace R57 on my Valiant, but I probably would have used
a standard metal oxide resistor.
BTW, check your plate and modulator current shunts and especially the
grounds associated with them.
