OK, The Ranger puts out about 65 watts of carrier on AM. If you want buck all of this up to 650 watts carrier you’re talking about an amplifier built around a pair of 3-500Z tubes, a single 3-1000Z or some combination
of modern ceramic equivalents.   In all cases would recommend checking the manufacturers’  manuals first.  

I regularly run AM through a pair of linear amps I have here, a 3-1000Z home-built unit and a commercial Harris RF-103 which also uses a 3-1000z.  I typically adjust these setups for 400 - 450 watts carrier.
