Gary,

A good match that’s been used has been the Heath SB-220. I will loaf along with the 35 watts output from the Ranger. Just make sure the fan is running in the SB-220. I have even heard folks using an SB-200, but the 572B’s will run hot.

Any 3-500Z amp will run fine at a couple of hundred watts output, but don’t try to push it past that level, since any of the SSB rated 3-500Z amps are not rated for continuous duty (AM mode).

Then of course, you can go look for the “real McCoy”, ie: Johnson Desk Kilowatt or Johnson Thunderbolt !
