Hi Gary,
FWIW: I have had good results just by exercising a sticky meter with a
slow (~1 Hz) square or triangle wave. I can't give exact instructions
because it depends on how much it takes to drive the meter past the
sticky spot, in each direction. I adjust the amplitude and offset of the
drive signal while watching the meter to be the needle isn't banging
hard against the stops. Once it works fairly well I let it run for a few
hours between 0 and FS.
